Whats scarier than a creeper? Well, as of the adventure update, these bastards will be.

They're called enderman. And while not horribly terrifying to look at, its not how they look but how they work that will scare the shit out of you. Basically, they're the minecraft version of Weeping Angels. For those of you who don't know, they are these terrifying mother fuckers:

And just like weeping angels, endermen don't move while you look at them, but if you look away they attack you. And we're not talking about something you can run away from, these guys are faster than the player and even if you are far away, they can bloody teleport.

EDIT:
Oh, did I mention they pick up blocks? so basically a group of the bastards can wreck the shit out of your house.

Indeed, might start playing on peaceful if I'm just building shit. And to think that wanker wouldn't add sharks cause it would be 'too hard' for players. I do still hope he adds dragons though.

Don't you have to look at them first and then they get hostile? I thought Notch mentioned that somewhere on his Tumblr.

Yeah, though if you accidentally look at them from far away, you are fucked.

Well, apparently you have to directly point the crosshairs at them for them to become hostile, so it's not like just having them on your screen makes them hostile.
