This is revealing about both the European Right and of course Israel. The right has replaced its obsession with Judaism with a hatred for other targets. Make no mistake, it will turn on the Jewish peoples at a moment's notice if it seems prudent to do so, but for now they see what the Israeli right is doing and admire it.

'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'. The populist Right admires Israel for many reasons, but the most prominent of which appears to be the, shall we say, 'uncompromising' attitude towards the Palestinians, and, by extension, Islam.

From my perspective, the so-called 'Jewish Question' has fallen into obscurity amongst the mainstream elements of the White Right. Islam is seen as the most pressing issue, hence the likes of Geert Wilders and the EDL.

For right-wingers I think this issue is less about Israel itself and more about Anti-Islamic stances. They see Palestine as an Islamic state "killing infidels" and think "Oh, we need to wipe those ragheads out before they overthrow our way of life!"
