The aim of globalisation is to make a world capitalist system many say it is the highest stage of imperialism as it is economic imperialism.

what companies globalize?

Multinational and transnational corporations are part of it

What are the main groups that help pass globalization?

IMF, WTO, and the World Bank..also government

What are the intents of globalization? What are the medias reasons for globalization?

better communication, transportation (also in terms of goods), cheap labor.

What are the effects of globalization?

Rich countries get richer, poor countries get poorer. The IMF has some terrible conditions for loans etc..
also government subsidies have caused problems
Increase in poverty, losing culture, destroying the environment

What are some examples of globalization?

manufacturing industry (clothes, autos etc..)
outsourcing IT jobs to other countries (US sends a lot of jobs to India)

There are a lot of examples, and tons of more information on globalization. Hope this helps.

Ok, I will give two definition sof Globalisation.

The short version:

Globalisaiton - Becoming more interconnected in various ways and being less able to avoid the consequences of what others do.

The long version*:

Globalisation is a multi dimensional process characterised by:
-The acceptence of a set of economic rules for the entire world designed to maximise profits and poductivity by universalising markets and production.
-The expansion of a specific form of social organisation based on information as the main source of production and power.
-The reduction of the Welfare State, privatisation of social services, flexibilisation of labour relations and weaker trade unions.
-De facto transfer to transnational organisations of the control of national economic policy instruments, such as monetary policy, interest rates and fiscal policy.
-The dissemination of common cultural values, but also the re-emergence of nationalism, cultural conflict and social movement.

*I don't know who wrote this, it was on a hand-out I was given in a class. The first one is mine, however.
