yeah just realised i came off as a lot more pissy than i intended too, anyways i think that the anarchists banks then would have also loved vegan food if someone introduced it to them. seriously ive come to the conclusion that chocalate cake is actually better without milk or butter.

It's true, sadly. Today's anarchists, in the pictures you mentioned above are without doubt petit bourgeois

'matinees and soirees were held in the garden virtually every other sunday, especially after spring had come and the weather was fine. there would be discussions, eating, drinking and lazing about on the grass, and the habitual singing of revolutionary and popular folk songs, or the reciting of passages of prose and poetry.
the principles of communal life at rue de bagnolet revolved around la vie naturelle- the natural life. . . living in libertarian communes or life on the road, sometimes traveling in groups of over 100 people were part of the experience on many anarchists. . . they lived partially by stealing . . .
some vegetables were grown in the back garden . . . vegetarianism was the order of the day while some comrades experimented with fruititarianism. . . comrades . . . also went for long walks and cycle rides.'

Carlo was a steel worker wasn't he? I am a soldier, I used to know lots of anarchists who were nurses and EMTs.
There were lots of anarchists in the late 1800s and early 1900s who spent their time at nudist colonies and printing shitty little magazines, and advocating free love.
Stupid game is stupid.

History picks and choose. Sadly there won't be much to pick from our current generation unless we step up our game :p

There's not too much difference between the anarchists of then and now, apart from the wrappers. True, there are petty bourgeois and political fools claiming to be anarchists, but that has probably been true forever, and should the opportunity arise, I have no doubt that the true anarchists of today shall take up the rifles just as eagerly as the anarchists of our fore fathers. Problem is, a. the capitalists have gotten far more clever nowadays, and the opportunity, for many of us, shall be denied and b. the movement has shrunken considerably, and we have yet to effectively counter the capitalist propaganda machine in a large scale.

yes, and the people who turned to "illegalism" were a very small minority in early 20th century anarchism

What I take from this is that widespread colour photography is a relatively recent phenomenon.

I don't know the first one, but the second one says he was arrested on January 6, 1932, so these'd probably be in the 30s.
