I've been reading a bit through this forum for a few months now and I figured it couldn't do harm to register.

- Where are you from, whats the leftist scene there like?
I am from Hellevoetsluis, the Netherlands. Fairly few leftists around both in my city and the country in general.
- What branch of leftism do you subscribe to?
Anarcho-communism/anarcho-pacifism. Yeah, I'm a bit of a hippie I guess.
- How did you become a leftist?
It didn't really happen from one day on another. It just happened gradually. When I started to become politically aware I started leaning a bit to the left. It then slowly started to become more and more refined until the point where I am now and have developed my own personal vision.

I'm still young (16) and I do realize that. I won't claim that I know everything and that is in fact why I started to read on revleft: to learn more, because one never has learnt everything, there is always more.

Hi, and welcome to the forum! There are plenty of Dutch people on here (some of whom I expect to soon be in this thread, writing some greeting in Dutch that I'll only vaguely understand ), so you might be interested in getting to know them, because they should be able to tell you more about local organisations and events. You can find them, amongst other places, in the Dutch language subforum (http://www.revleft.com/vb/nederlands-f45/index.html) :) Enjoy your stay here!

Dear comrade,

It is a bit too much to tell everyting about myself. You are 16 years old, I am 61 years old. I started my political activities in 1970. For about six years I was an anarchist, then about four years councilcommunist and since 1980 sympathizer of th ICC (internatioal communist current) an organisation which exists in 16 countries and distributes its positions in more than 10 languages.
I am an internationalist, that will say against every war (= imperialist) and against every effort go gain fundamental, sustainable gains, improvements via parliament.

So I am against groups like Socialisme Nu (GIS), the SP, and even in a certain sense against Doorbraak. While all these groups are per definition nationalists, and they want to convince the workers that they beter rely on the parlementarian parties, instead of have confidence in their own capacities and keeping the struggle in their own hands.
