What exactly is Maoism and how does it differ from Marxism-Leninism and Trotskyism? I've always been under the impression that if you're a Maoist you advocate peasant revolution, and that Maoism emerges in predominantly agricultural countries, but that's all I really know.
What would a non-Maoist Marxist say about revolution in countries where there isn't a working class? Do they condemn it? Support it? Watch it from a distance without optimism?
I've also heard claims that Mao ultimately focused on "building capitalism" within China due to the conditions not existing for socialism, and I've heard people who don't like Mao refer to him as a class-collaborationist. What led to China becoming completely capitalist in the late 70's?
