I've been told about this forum for a while now, so I thought I'd check it out.

I'm in Tennessee and I consider myself a Marxist of the Trotskyist tendency. Not much going on in area here in the buckle of the Bible Belt, although I have run into two other Trotskyists at some of the Wisconsin support rallies earlier this year.

I'm old and became a leftist in the late 60s in reaction to the Vietnam War. I took a course in Russian History in college and became attracted to the Trotskyist version of Marxism after reading a required book. I don't even remember which one it was, but it sparked a SERIOUS interest and I read a bunch more on my own. After a while, I considered myself a Trotskyist.

I spent several decades raising kids and getting by and being a "salon" communist, then all the shit hit the fan and I had to get active. So I did.

Well, I think that it kind of depends on your personality Landsharks. Even when I was a LITTLE bitty kid, I hated bullies. And there's nothing MORE bullying than the capitalist exploiters.

They're trying to turn us into serfs in a neofeudalism. I wouldn't do well as a serf. I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees. Thanks for the welcome.
