In the past years, the number of immigrants in Greece, has increased to a great extent. This fact has extended the anger of many racist Greek citizens,resulting to a hateful behaviour against immigrants.They characterize them as "black monkeys" and other racist comments.About 90% of them considers the immigrants illegal ; that's a big lie in my opinion.This is just a neofascist characterization that Greek racists are using for them.
The majority of the Greek citizens say that they want them to leave, a small extent doesn't want to, BUT there are some other people who have decided to "help" the situation in their own way. How? By swearing the immigrants, chasing them on the streets and threatening them that they will kill them and by beating them up in the street when they run across them. You can understand that this kind of people that doesn’t WANT the immigrants to leave Greece, but they REQUIRE it.They also decide to join the Neonazi-Nationalist Greek movement Golden Dawn(Hresee Avgee).This "political party”forwards neonazi and racists messages.One of them , is the popular in Greece slogan, “Ekso Ee Ksenee”(means in Greek that they want the immigrants to leave Greece. They also burn Albanian and Turkish flags in demonstrations they organise.They want to solve their problems with violence especially by using guns. You can imagine how fascist and violent these guys are. However ,there is the other side of the people, who not only don’t want the immigrants to live but they also support them psychologically, when they meet them on the streets.

This is what happened on April 2010 on the shopping street of Athens, Ermou Street ; Small riots between Greeks and immigrants.You can clearly hear some racist comments against them such as “You are mafia” and “Get out of my country monkey!”. Unfortunatelly, as usual , the ones who were arrested, were the immigrants despite the fact that they tried to defend themselves, plus,that the ones who started it were the Greeks.
So when the immigrants are treated like that, they would react in their own way. How?By robbing houses, mugging people and in rare occasions, by killing people to obtain some of their personal items. I agree that those things are really bad but what should they do when they are in a country where they have no job at all,are homeless and can't return to their countries?
What I think is that immigrants should not leave Greece unless they want to. I also think that we should offer fellowship to the immigrants .Because they are also humans, they have the right to leave in a normal peaceful way, as they really want to.
