I just got the CD Union Town from Tom Morello, from Rage Against The Machine. Its a collection of labor union songs, five covers of traditional songs and three original compositions. A shot of inspiration. I dont have enough posts yet to post a link.

I don't think most unions in their current form are revolutionary but serve as a part of social democracy. I think unions can potentially be revolutionary but I got a very social democratic vibe from that song, where the concept seemed to be more about preservation than progressive change for the better. Just my opinion though.

He's a member of the Los Angeles GMB and spins revolutionary industrial unionism on his "Axis of Justice" radio show heard in Los Angeles on KPFK but also streaming on the web and syndicated in other cities.

Just my opinion though. In order to start moving forward, we gotta stop getting pushed backward first.

But fairly class strugglist, and that's a hell of a lot more useful than calling for insurrection for the sake of insurrection.
(That said, I didn't like it very much. I like his stuff in both Rage and as The Nightwatchman, but this was just kinda... Off.)
