This excellent BBC documentary from three or four years ago is available here:

I'd recommend it to any leftist. It veers so close to being a class history of racism that I'm amazed the BBC ever broadcast it; today, just a few years on, I don't believe it would make it to air. The economic utility of racism, and the worthlessness of anti-racist measures which ignored the economic sphere, is emphasised throughout. Much of the material is horrific, especially that on the Namibian genocide (there's a separate documentary on that specific issue here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-899627923732856130)

The final episode focuses too closely on the Anglophone world, but I guess that's understandable. Well worth a watch.
