I'm not a fan of being a part of a litigious-crazed society like the one in the US, but they should sue the shit out of the company. Seems like breech of contract, breaking laws, and the Canadian govt should fine the fuck out of them. What total and utter bullshit.

the buisness in question have in fact broke several provincial laws and the provincial governement is looking into it, the ministry of labor in my province started to meet the 1200 employee to discuss about a potential financial help.

The mayor of nashville seem to be quite pissed has well, beccause hey, if they can do that to canadian, why couldnt they do that to the folks living in nashville too?

It was more than harsh, i mean, they didnt even got their last paycheck, its basically theft.
