Ok, I know I could search this on google, but I need a decent summary of it.

How were relations between The U.S.S.R and Cuba? For instance, I know Castro met the Romanian Nicolae who opposed the Czechoslovakia invasion, does that mean near the end of of the U.S.S.R were relations bad, or going bad from good?

Also, how did Cuba respond with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc? Did they say we will remain Communist, and did Cuba offer any help or pleas to still political Communists who were now out of power and being hunted as traitors?
