Oh, fuck I just remembered that Wikipedia scrubbed a ton of creepy articles. Dammit.

Look up the Acreibo Reply (not as creepy now that you'll probably find it on a bunch of dumb idiot websites instead of wikipedia where they have at least the veneer of authority)

Also: Numbers Stations, The Bloop, Slow Down, etc. Those are all still on Wikipedia.

Funny thing: I was actually listening to UVB-76 last year when it went "active" again and numbers started being broadcast in Russian.

lol democraticunderground was talking about the dead scientists. Someone posted a partial list.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x1137789#1137794

The sudden and suspicious deaths of 11 of the world's leading microbiologists. Who they were:

1. Nov. 12, 2001 Benito Que was said to have been beaten in a Miami parking lot and died later.

2. Nov. 16, 2001 Don C. Wiley went missing. Was found Dec. 20. Investigators said he got dizzy on a Memphis bridge and fell to his death in a river.

3. Nov. 21, 2001 Vladimir Pasechnik, former high-level Russian microbiologist who defected in 1989 to the U.K. apparently died from a stroke.

4. Dec. 10, 2001 Robert M. Schwartz was stabbed to death in Leesberg, Va. Three Satanists have been arrested.

5. Dec. 14, 2001 Nguyen Van Set died in an airlock filled with nitrogen in his lab in Geelong, Australia.

6. Feb. 9, 2002 Victor Korshunov had his head bashed in near his home in Moscow.

7. Feb. 14, 2002 Ian Langford was found partially naked and wedged under a chair in Norwich, England.

8. & 9.Feb. 28, 2002 San Francisco resident Tanya Holzmayer was killed by a microbiologist colleague, Guyang Huang, who shot her as she took delivery of a pizza and then apparently shot himself.

10. March 24, 2002 David Wynn-Williams died in a road accident near his home in Cambridge, England.

11. March 25, 2002 Steven Mostow of the Colorado Health Sciences Centre, killed in a plane he was flying near Denver.

I first heard about this from an Italian housemate a few years ago and my leftiness was totally uncomfortable at first, because he started it with, "Have you heard of the, eh, Masons?" or he might have described them and I recognized what he was talking about, because usually when someone brings up the Freemasons, because, who knows, the Jews might come up next. But then after we talked I went and hit up links like those and was pretty taken aback. I'm not sure how many countries besides Italy and Liberia had Masonic(-style) organizations that really dominated or entered elite politics.

Funny story, I only just found out that Wikipedia doesn't have an entry for 'Revleft', someone should really go about making that.

The Great Attractor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Attractor) - A gigantic massive thing that we can't see directly that effects galaxies and their related clusters over a region hundreds of millions of light years across.

Somewhat related, the phenomenon of dark flow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_flow) appears to point to something even bigger outside of the Hubble volume (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hubble_volume).

CP violation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CP_violation) - what the fuck happened to the antimatter? Current cosmological models tell us that there should have been equal amounts of matter and anti-matter after the Big Bang, but it's missing. Did something eat it?

Could islands of stability (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Island_of_stability) lead to the creation of new types of nuclear weapons? Perhaps even portable/handheld versions?

Well I was going to make a joke post like 'hey guys this'll really freaky you out' and then link to the Revleft wiki page and that's how I found ouf that there wasn't one, so yes, it is the perfect thread to bring it up.

Yes, that's essentially why I thought that it was relevant to this thread.

That's the trouble with dry humour, it's funny at first, but when you start talking about it it becomes.. just dry.
