I thought about asking to get a table, then I remembered how much I hate the Anarchist scene here
Students for Unity is chill though

I've typed out about ten clever responses here in agreement with you but want to make sure you're on the same page.

Apparently theres one going on next month in Seattle. I believe at Left Bank Books but it seems Puget Sound Anarchist website is down. I don't know much about the Portland Anarchists, but I too am sick of the Anarchists up here in Seattle.

I'd go but I don't think I afford the time or money involved. Hope it goes well! The LA Anarchist Bookfair itself disappointed me, but I loved the afterparty.

A few generalizations.

1. The anarcho fashion show

2. Middle class activist pet-topics becoming pet-obsessions because they're easier to march and struggle for because there is no end goal for them, never was and never likely will be.

3. Not being involved in worker struggles in Portland (and Oregon).

4. Intentional isolation as a means of 'revolutionary struggle'. It's selfish. You're gonna have to do more than be you.

5. Fuck social hierarchies.

Pure coinscidence () the anarchists here who actually put anything on the line for working class struggle are not a part of the photo shoot.

intentional isolation?

intentional isolation?

That was a grumpily brutal attack against photoshoot-anarchism and lifestylism however from what I understand and from what I've seen there are cliques that have bad politics or bad organizing agendas at times and they make it difficult or uncomfortable to attempt networking.
