I like them but I wouldnt say best band in the world.
For starters you have all of the 60's band that were better than the beatles.
My top 5 songs at the moment are
Slide Away
Columbia
Whatever
D'you know what I mean

Certainly NOT the best in the world but probably not the worst either. One of the most overrated bands in the world, absolutely. Personally I think they suck. If I want to listen to the Beatles, I'll listen to the Beatles.

They are alright, I used to love them loads a few years ago, but not anymore.

Definately Maybe is a brilliant album ... but from then on they went on a down hill slide and Liam is the biggest ARSE in the whole world

yeah, you are right, have to say heathen chemistry is far far away from DM or WTSMG.
and Liam is the biggest ARSE in the whole world
I would not say so.

They MUST be great because they were on the covers of all those magazines.
But seriously I think some of you are only capable of liking bands that get magazine covers/MTV/Top 40 radio exposure.

Celtopunk, that is almosat inevitable though. Take thrice for example, I liked them long before they made it onto MTV. Well loook at them now. I still like them even though. Most good bands can't escape the wrath of MTV <_<
but anyways, yeah, I like oasis, even though I haven't heard a new song from them in like forever. I know wonderwall is bad ass! I love that song even though I haven't heard it in like, a long ass time. Damn, now I'm in the mood to hear it. Imma call the radio station now...

Oasis is a high-quality band. I wouldn't buy their albums, but I've burned some of them and enjoyed them all. Interesting bit of trivia: apparently Liam and Noel got their asses kicked by Italian pimps last summer. It was in either Spin or Rolling Stone, I can't remember.

Most definately - with DM and WTSMG you have two brilliant albums from the early 1990s which were influential and something which really made a change to the musical establishment. I refused to buy their most recent albums ... they didn't have any memorable tracks on them and they seemed to be rushed rehashes.
Liam is a huge arse - he claims to be more influential than Lennon and his attitude just gets so annoying, he really has an inflated opinion of himself ... but he can be a quality vocalist.

no that place in history is taken by Robbie Williams with Ronnie O'Sulavan (SP) a close second, and a little way behind Liam is in the process of catching up...
