Why is it that genocides are always forgotten. First the Armenien genocide. I just stumbled on some stuff about a German genocide in Africa of the Herero http://www.sn.apc.org/wmail/issues/980320/BUS1.html I wonder why all these genocides are forgotten?

i don't think its that they are forgotten its just that there are so many these days and its really very hard to keep track of all of them. and its hard to dwell on past issues when present ones are so abundant

Yes, many genocides. The mass killings by Stalin in the name of Socialism----and yes, the Cambodian Maoist killing machine-----don't forget these comrades.

Some genocides are forgotten because the west doesnt believe that it is in their best intrests to give a flying f**k about genocides.
For example, The Armenian genocide of 1915 where 1.5 million were murdered, the USA and some conservative European countries deny such a genocide because it will anger the turks. By angering the turks they will not be able to bomb the Iraqi children. Simple see?
Wheras another Genocide or Holocaust of the Jews where 6 million Jews were murdered by the Fascist scum hate machine, the americans realised:
a) many people had been killed
B) If they made the Jews of America happy by announcing there was a Genocide then the Jews in turn would be pro America, like they are now, in America and around the world.
By posting the following comments i mean not to take any importance from other genocides commited by the human race in the last century

OK YOU JUST MADE ME MAD NOW
I HATE STALIN. I HATE MAO AN I CERTAINLY HATE POL POT.
Pol Pot WASN'T a communist you moron he was a Nazi. Pol Pot killed ethnic Vietnamesse in an attempt to create the "Pure Khmer Race." This genocide proportionally worse than the Nazi's killings of Jews.
Explain Where using quotes where true communism calls for genocide? Indeed the manifesto says "Working men have no country" not "You must create the pure race in each country."
The sick thing is that the mastermind behind the Genocide that YOUR SYSTEM CREATED (Yes the American secretary of state Harry Kissinger was the mastermind behind the 4 years of Genocide plus his atrocities in East Timor) is still a free Nobel Peace Prize winner.
