Hello Comrades!
(Здравствуйте Товарищи!) or Zdravstvuytye Tovarischi!
I recently came across some Russian Tea.
Though it is made in modern times by filthy Capitalists and bears the image and name of one Царь Николай II (Czar Nikolas II) it is really, really good though kind of Heretical.
Actually, it's the best tea I've ever tasted and I'm a Tea-aholic. Way, way better than any English tea and even better than the finest Japanese tea.
This one is strong, with many complex flavors. Usually, I prefer more subtle tea but this one won me over.
It appears that like me, Russians are also very fond of tea as well as Vodka!
So I'm obviously studying the right language for my tastes and tendencies.
What's your favorite Tea?
Заходите на чай! :)

Just regular old Sencha is fine by me. Fukamushicha, especially. Kabusecha and Gyokuro are a nice treat. Mecha is good, and I like to have some Hojicha on hand. I like Keemun and Dian Hong, Longjing, and Tieguanyin, too.

I was in Russia in 95. My mom had some tea that there that was the BEST I've ever had. I don't much about it since I couldn't read Russian and wasn't that interested in comparison to everything else that was going on. But, I still remember that it was the best. It was loose-leaf and it came in a red metal box/can.

Alma chai or apple tea from Turkey is really good. Also the standard mint tea from Morocco (and I assume the rest of N Africa) is nice. I don't drink very much tea, though.

Probably redbush, or earl grey but that is a bit middle class.

Sweet tea, because I'm a southerner. I also like unsweetened iced tea. I also like Irish Breakfast tea.

Ok, iced tea with 30 pounds of sugar. Yes, yes yes.
Everyone tells me I'm ruining it by putting in that much sugar. They are wrong.

Ahmad Tea mixed with some other "Ceylon" teas. Then I add sugar and cinnamon.
Northumbrian blend:
This blend is created from the black tea leaves of large Golden Broken Orange Pekoe (GBOP) Assam teas and the carefully selected western Kenya Broken Pekoe (BP).With a little bit of Earl Grey thrown in for added sexiness. Milk, no sugar.
Loose leaf all the way. Teabags are reactionary.

Let's get one thing straight first: tea bags are a bourgeois conspiracy.
Now then: I like peppermint licorice tea, quality oolong tea, tra sen (green tea + lotus) and, of course, puerh, the king of teas. I don't get puerh much because it's usually quite expensive and wrapped around dubious business practices, but when my aunt goes to China, she always brings me back a block. Yum.
Also: Jagertee. You mix rum and strong, hot tea. It's what I drink when I'm sick :P

I've never actually had Oolong tea and would like very much to try it. Can you recommend a good brand or something?
