Mac people, help?

I recently acquired an iBook, I want to update my OS and itunes and shit, but it prompts me for an administrator username/password, I don't have that, and I can't figure out how to do one. I googled it, and all the guides say either insert the OS disc (don't have it) or mount the harddrive (not gonna do it).

Other options?

I know it sounds obvious, but have you tried just clicking enter without putting in a UN or PW? I had a Mac which didn't have a username on password. Try that, I'll be back tomorrow with more options unless someone answers you sooner.

If it's OS X you should be able to handle everything via sudo or a variant thereof.

That did work, also I figured out why none of the torrent programs work, they all require intel, this computer is from before mac started using intel.
