I don't think the revolution of 1921 was a revolution in the truest sense of the word, more, the Red Army helped the Mongolian people expel factions of the White Army.

The Mongolian People's Republic was the result of the Red Army's liberation of Mongolia from the infamous White general, the Baron Ungern von Sternburg.

There is much literature on this psychopath, who was the extreme version of what all the rest of the Whites were too.
