I do think it is rather stupid to ban someone for those jokes. While I probably wouldn't say that kind of thing here because the Mods seem to always have a pole up their asses I don't think they are offensive. I think some of this Mods want us to stop being people and lose all sense of humor because it is always either racist/sexist to them.

There's a fine line between what's permissible and what isn't. I agree the Moderators did overstep such boundaries in this instance. However, maybe they're afraid that it will degenerate even further into something that isn't permissible. I don't know their reasoning behind banning the user in this particular case.
