I've got a raging sweet tooth. I do buy premade mixes for cookies, brownies, cakes etc but sometimes I don't feel like going to the store to buy just a box of dessert mix and want to make something yummy with what I have. . . quickly.
I generally have the basic baking staples. . .flour, sugar, butter, eggs, oil, vanilla etc.
The only quick easy recipes I know that are good are butter/shortbread cookies and peanut butter cookies. But I'm burned out on those.
That microwave chocolate cake bullshit. . .was some bullshit. Inedible. Just for shits and grins I baked it instead of microwaving it to see if it was the microwave that was messing up the texture. Newp. It was jacked up no matter how I heated it.
So. . .gimmeh some quick, easy, sweets recipes (doesn't have to be baked or anything. . .just sweet and yummy!) Proven to be good only please. . .I don't want another microwave chocolate cake debacle :P

According to my mom, flan is pretty easy to make. Just google the recipe, it's basically sugar, egg and flour. Make sure to top it with dulce de leche though, and not whip cream or whatever they do around here. You can probably get it at a Fiesta or similar ethnic markets.

Nah, I wouldn't trust the mixes. Besides, as I've been told, it's not that hard to make form scratch. I guess you have to caramelize some sugar, which I suppose takes some skill, but idk about the mixes. I think you'll end up repeating the cake incident.

Chocolate orange cake:
450g flour
4.5 tsp baking powder
75g cocoa
375g sugar
13.5 tbsp oil
375ml orange juice
150 ml water
zest of 2 oranges
Mix the dry ingredients together through a sieve and mix the wet ones in a jug. Combine and pour into a cake tin. Can't remember how long it takes to cook exactly (about 20-30 mins, depending on the cake tin), but if you stick a skewer in the middle it should come out clean. Tastes fantastic and nobody will know that it's vegan :ninja:

I was thinking of adding some oats (which I always have plenty of) and maybe trying it with peaches to make a mock peach cobbler. Since it is a warm treat, I think I will top it with ice cream. (Ice cream plain isn't as good!)

Okay. . .you are VOUCHING for this being good? So simple. . .and I always have those things! (Except the white bread because I'm diabetic.) I might try to jazz it up by putting some cinnamon on it :P

This is an easy quick fix staple of mine. Everyone LOVES it. Most people have all the ingredients for it.
1 cup peanut butter (it doesn't matter what brand or kind)
I cup sugar (you can do half and half with splenda and it comes out fine will try all splenda and report back)
1 egg
Mix all ingredients and make small balls and kinda press them down (so they aren't balls any more)
Bake at 350 degrees F for 7-10 mins.
I put jelly/preserves on them sometimes.
