I am fucked from the gym, I thought I would share my workout with you all and ask for opinions on it from you guys.

So I started at roughly 7:25 and finished at around 9:20. I started on the Punchbag, working the jab alot, making sure I had correct footwork, throwing combinations of jab, straight, left body, right hook, then jab and move then jab, right hook, left hook, right uppercut.

I was on the bag for around 15 minutes with 2 10 second breathers. I then skipped with continual stopping due to errors for around 15 minutes, then on to the kneck harness with 10kg, 7 kg and cable resistance. I worked the back on the back board with a 10kg medicine ball held behind my kneck for three sets on 12 repetitions.

Then back to boxing for about 15 minutes, skipping for 20 minutes, boxing for another 10 minutes and skipping for 20.

I think this is a close description of my workout.

Any advice welcome.

Warm-up with shadowboxing for a few rounds so you get blood flowing and stretch out the muscles before you start committing to punches on the bag. You didn't mention how many rounds you did, but it's always good to do things in 3-minute rounds with 1-minute rest periods to best simulate an in-ring experience, even if you aren't planning on competing. Skipping should also be done in rounds.

As far as my workout goes, we did warm-ups first, then strength & conditioning, and then 6 or so continuous rounds on the bags, sometimes mixed in with some mitts. I would keep things continuous instead of alternating between bags & skipping, and add some other workouts before you start boxing. Sit-ups, arm and shoulder conditioning with small weights, leg workouts, and then start boxing. Good luck and keep at it.

Oh, and don't forget to run in the morning or on off-days!
