Hello everybody,

So I am somewhat new to communism, and I would like to know, what political system did Lenin use? How was the government run? Your replies will be appreciated. Thank you!

Although the bolsheviks were all like "All power to the soviets" in mid 1917, they (the soviets) were reduced to flower pots in the party's backyard.
NEP,the civil war and external pressures of course did help this, but if you are a big meany you could consider the possibility of this being the plan all along.

The party was run in strict democratic centralism, and because of NEP's necessity fractions were banned, preparing the ground for the 30s purges and lunacy.

Good thing you asked about "what happened" and not "what did he support", because the latter question would receive different responses according to tendency.
The stalinists/anti-revisionists would equate the political system to Lenin's wishes, the trotskyists would equate Trotksy's views to Lenin's.

Then how is it the case that primary historical documentation reveals intense, bottom-up democratic struggle in factories and other workplaces, and heated internal party debate, throughout the early and middle NEP? Even in the late NEP period, when the power of the bureaucracy was growing, almost a majority of strikes (~45%) resulted in concessions from management. Far fewer strikers were arrested in that period than during even Woodrow Wilson's tenure as president. The soviets had real power, and exercised that power frequently.

Party democracy persisted until several years into Stalin's tenure. You make it sound like the revolution happened, then Lenin dropped his act and started imposing dictatorial rule. This is ridiculous, and directly contradicted by available evidence.
