Obviously, the Cuban mafia and friends in Miami are going to support them with all they can, just like they did for Orlando Zapata Tamayo:

Other then the little cute solidarity :hammersickle: comments, can we actually do anything to support this? Maybe write some letters to the jail?

Thousands remain on strike - this has turned into the most important prisoner struggle against the California system in over a decade -
someone asked what you can do to help
The answer: lots!
1) Phone California governor Brown or chief prisoncrat Secretary Matthew Cate and tell them (a) your support the prisoners demands, (b) no prisoner has to die, and (c) in order to ensure no prisoner die, the state should begin negotiations.
Secretary Matthew Cate
Department of Correction
Phone: (916) 323-6001
Governor Jerry Brown
Phone: (916) 445-2841
2) Publicize the strike on your blog, discussion lists, whatever - the prisoners support coalition have a blog that you should point people to: http://prisonerhungerstrikesolidarity.wordpress.com/
3) Organize something in your area. There have been noise demos across the united states and in canada in support of the strike, there have been demonstrations and rallies from LA to NYC and lots more in between. Even two people holding signs or a banner in front of a prison-related target is worthwhile, especially if you take a photo and send it to the support coalition.
4) Organize an information night. Either to discuss the strike and prisons, or else show a film about it. Unlock the Box is a film produced by MIM(Prisons) which gives good background.
5) Be creative and do something else to get the strike in the news! ;)
If you're organizing something please tell the California support coalition and also tell me as i am maintaining a page about the strike at http://www.kersplebedeb.com/mystuff/july1/
