Is it just me, or does Mao contradict himself in regards to contrasting his writings and teachings with his own actions? Particularly in relation to during the Chinese Civil War and during the later period of his leadership of China.

If we look at the USSR Lenin did the same thing, when i look at it most of the stuff he did wasn't Leninist, it was simply anything a state would do after a disasterous civil war, and anything any state would do to keep everything stable
