The routine pattern of media atrocity headlines, followed by belated retractions after the poison has been well and truly spread around, is at play again overe Libya.

Why go to the bourgeois press to see whether or not the Libyan government is reactionary? Everyone knows the bourgeois press exaggerates, it sells papers. More importantly, the fact that the Libyan government media smeared a woman who accused their forces of rape of being insane, a prostitute, a drunk, and a whore, and who played false footage of a belly dancer to prove it, speaks for itself. We know what the Libyan government thinks about women based on the statements made by their media goons.

This isn't about the Libyan government this is about the Western press lying to the world to justify an illegal war.

Why? Because it’s a bourgeois press retraction that’s why, as the title of the post says. What’s your problem?

This tends to go on in all wars.

I can't think of a war where rape was not used as a weapon, in the sense that:

a) it was actually used OR
b) one side accused the other of using it as an actual weapon.

It's a sad fact, but it's unfortunately something that is a current in all state propaganda apparatus' during war.

indeed water is wet, the sky is blue, but it dosnt change nothing from the fact that shit smell bad.

the media exagerate, the media lie, but gadafi is a neoliberal reactionary.

You cant imagine how the industrials in my province where sad about the conflict, all those juicy contracts with Gadafi building jails at an exorbiting price, they where really upset.

if you want to make a topic questionning the media intentions in this whole mess, alright, that fine, but if its another of these thread where you and your guy are jumping in the ring to defend gadafi, drop it.

We get it, gadafi is a demigod level 75 with a paladin armor and a sword who does 200% damages.

or at least this is the version you guys have been serving us for months.
