A Golf Coarse strike (http://socialistworker.org/2011/06/30/castlewood-picket-line), could it be any more symbolic, btw, THIS is how you do a strike.

That is awesome, I can only imagine how outraged those bourgeouis asshats were when those horrible proles prevented them from their afternoon golf! :D

Outraged to the point of taking "Practice Swings" with their golf clubs...probably threateningly.
and also trying to run the prols down with their Golf Carts it seems...:(

So a game of golf is worth running people over and assaulting them with a weapon?
Apparently so.

I always did hate golf. :hammersickle:

A golf ball is pretty solid, if it hits you at full speed in the wrong place I'm guessing it could kill you, and obviously same with the golf carts. But doesn't sound like any of the golfers were even arrested.

No they were not, but if a worker so much as looked funny at a golfer there would be tear gas and batons.

This has been going on for a while and the workers have been very creative within the limits places on most contemporary labor actions. Workers were very excited to really take it to this annual event, I wish they had been able to do more of that and do it for all the days of this tournament.

Its just it costs the strikers a lot, to travel there and back, and possibly some of them have taken other temporary jobs by now, just to stay afloat so they lose money that way too. The way they did it made a nice point, it would be great to do it long term but I don't think it would achieve much more than the one day strike did.
