Its very sad comrades,
Today the agenda of portuguese government was released and they actually went beyond the IMF demands.
Amongst the measures there are some gems:
-Cut corporate taxes whilst raising VAT to compensate.
-Privatization of state companies like: Airways, subways, bus, trains, mails, water, electricity, gas, aswell as participations in oild and power(dams...) companies.
-Allow jobs without contract and make it easier for bosses to fire people.
-Sell all the shares of the state bank including insurances.
-Raise NHS costs. And possible privatization of NHS.
-Cut of worker force in public sector.
-Privatization of public media.
-Holdidays might change their date to boost productivity.(If we have a holiday
at thursday they will change it to friday to avoid vacations.)
- Possibility of more taxes and smaller incomes.

Portugal desperately needs (like the rest of the world) a revolution.

Other than that I don't really know what to say other than that the worker there is royally getting screwed over.

The sadder is that the people dont arise and protest.
The socialist party says nothing.
Left block calls it a theft.
The communist party points that the measures are bad for the workers.

And thats it.
