Where do I began? My name is John ••••••••••••. I wouldn't say I'm a socialist but I have a few friends who are active in the PSL (Party for Socialism and Liberation). It is fun going to their rallies and meeting the people there. Christians and Socialist are two groups of people who are willing to buy you lunch. I always find that funny. Politically people will call me a libertarian and economically a capitalist. I know you're thinking why would a person with my views want to be friends with socialist and attend their rallies? Why not? Just because someone has different economic and political views doesn't mean I hate them. Anything else just ask me.

Hi. You're going to end up in Opposing Ideologies, probably, but I'm glad you seem friendly and openminded and not here to spread vitriol.:)

Welcome. Probably was a bad idea to use your full name. There are some crazy people out there. I encourage you to explore the site. Read on, you may learn a thing or two. Oh, being at peace with capitalism doesn't make you a capitalist. You have to have a comfortable lifestyle provided by the exploitation of other peoples' labor to earn that handle. Good luck.

I also have a faint suspicion that we all now know your area code, too. But hey, that's cool - I know a lot of people in the Sacramento area. (Since I'm obviously so private about my own whereabouts! )

Welcome to the forum. :)

I can't stand Libertarianism myself, but I try to judge individuals on their character.

Johnny916, Welcome! I really like your openness, but you'll eventually need to come to some hard political-economic analyses. For instance: capitalism produces for profit; nature produces for community, as must humanity. Capitalism is a cancer of all forms of life. But don't take my word for it--check it out.

Your post referred to the Party For Socialism and Liberation (PSL). Redson also referred to the PSL, of which I know nothing. So now you've sent me to do some research of my own. Thanks! And welcome!
