Queen is a communist band, read this:

Innuendo

One two three four

Ooh ooh

While the sun hangs in the sky and the desert has sand
While the waves crash in the sea and meet the land
While there's a wind and the stars and the rainbow
Till the mountains crumble into the plain

Oh yes, we'll keep on trying
Tread that fine line
Oh, we'll keep on trying
Yeah
Just passing our time

Ooh ooh

While we live according to race, colour or creed
While we rule by blind madness and pure greed
Our lives dictated by tradition, superstition, false religion
Through the eons and on and on

Oh, yes, we'll keep on trying, yeah
We'll tread that fine line
Oh oh we'll keep on trying
Till the end of time
Till the end of time

Through the sorrow all through our splendour
Don't take offence at my innuendo

Duh duh duh duh duh duh duh
Duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh

You can be anything you want to be
Just turn yourself into anything you think that you could ever be
Be free with your tempo, be free, be free
Surrender your ego - be free, be free to yourself

Ooh ooh, yeah

If there's a God or any kind of justice under the sky
If there's a point, if there's a reason to live or die
Ha, if there's an answer to the questions we feel bound to ask
Show yourself - destroy our fears - release your mask
Oh yes, we'll keep on trying
Hey, tread that fine line
(Yeah) yeah
We'll keep on smiling, yeah
(Yeah) (yeah) (yeah)
And whatever will be - will be
We'll just keep on trying
We'll just keep on trying
Till the end of time
Till the end of time
Till the end of time

I've mostly been listening to ... a load of punk rock from the early 1990s - Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pumpkins, Jane's Addiction and a bit of Nirvana.

Also through in some Brit Rock - Radiohead, Blur (old stuff, new sounds are poor) and a couple of other bands.

That is pop not Latin. Enigma the bands you list are all from the same basket, why didn't you just put...

I listen to whatever is on the front cover of NME....

Nu Jazz is another of those phrases made up by lazy music journalists and does'nt mean anything like Trip hop or future funk... Some of it contains Jazziness but it aint Jazz, I guess bands like The Truby Trio, Jazzanova, 4hero, Seji, IG culture and the rest of the euro Jazz mafia would come under that umbrella, I like a lot of that stuff too but it's throwaway....

what do you mean not a whore? If thats the image that works for her, so be it. I'm not condoning that at all, whatever she has to do is fine with me.

But with lyrics like:
"Eat me out like a vulture"
and
"Ohhh.. ohhh.. now we gon' make love to and in ya
SLIDE, wanna take a ride
When you with me oh so right, tell them boys not tonight
Say you chillin witcho ***** and this is one y'don't wanna miss
Uhh uhh.. cause this love right here is on fire (fire)
SLIDE, wanna take a ride"

she's gone one step further than Madonna.
and besides, Whore isn't really bad per se. A whore is either someone who is Sexually Promiscuous (which she hints at) or someone who won't let principles get in their way (which she isn't).

Its all good

NOOOO NOT GRUNGE --- ARGGGHHHHHH ... Grunge has such bad memories - GMTV fashion shows, Gap magazines and little kids listening to Blink 182 - don't use that word .... EVIL

Grunge is DEAD - Kurt Cobain

Nah - I know that they aren't 'punk' but they are the bridge between punk and rock with the use of distorted guitar sounds, a loud and throbbing drum beat combined with a powerful bass line with deep and powerful lyrics. Punk bands like the Melvins are the route for later bands and they are undoubtably punk with other influences being the Pistols and the Clash.

Agreed that the Pistols may not be very musically talented ... but the amount of publicity that they generated and the inspiration that they offered to other young bands was influential. I listened to an interview with Joe Strummer from the Clash and he said when he went to one of their concerts it was incredibly - he realised that even if he was musically degenerate he could still be successful if he put his heart and soul into it.

Gigs are so tame now - the best I get is a few Vs tossed at the band and the odd bottle - shame really. Some bands really do need to be put in their place - they are so up their own arses.

I was at a punk and ska festival in London and for some reason Lost Prophets were playing - they had to finish their set half way through because of the number of bottles being thrown at them ... that was brilliant and it was the weekend after they had been bottled off at Ozzfest - would have thought that the wankers would have learnt their lesson.

from Blender magazine, reviewing the album "Streetcore"
"The leader of the Clash changed millions of lives- but that doesn't salvage the well-named "Ramshackle Day Parade.
...He never focused that brilliance artistically, probably because focus wasn't his thing- the two minute intensity of the Clash was an abberation....[on the album "Globab a Go Go] Strummer is probably telling Bob Marley about its folk-rock skank right now. But there's little chance Marley will return the favor of Strummer's "Redemption Song" cover..."

The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear
I’ve seen that road before
It always leads me her
Lead me to you door

The wild and windy night
That the rain washed away
Has left a pool of tears
Crying for the day
Why leave me standing here
Let me know the way

Many times I’ve been alone
And many times I’ve cried
Any way you’ll never know
The many ways I’ve tried

But still they lead me back
To the long winding road
You left me standing here
A long long time ago
Don’t leave me waiting here
Lead me to your door

But still they lead me back
To the long winding road
You left me standing here
A long long time ago
Don’t leave me waiting here
Lead me to your door
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
