How do I explain to a Democrat who thinks Democrats are good because they support Progressive Taxes Welfare claim to support Trade Unions and Healthcare for all and Equality that Democrats are just as much as bad as the Republicans they are both a part of the Bourgeoisie or the Capitalist Class do the Democrats support these reforms these regulations of Capitalism like minimum wage laws to keep a Socialist Revolution/Revort from happening ?

Well just look at what the Democratic party governments in the USA have done. Obama for example has already killed 1000s of civilians in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Libya. He has betrayed all the poor who voted for him by drastically watering down his healthcare thing.. he has taken billions of $ from the people and given it to the rich.. he fucking sucks.

Really the question should be to the democrats, why do they still support a system that keeps so many people in poverty and is responsable for so much war and inequality. they may say they want some kind of equality in theory, but the practical actions of the Democratic party have always served to take from the poor and give to the rich

That kind of argument never got through to me.

What you have to do is take some aspect of that Democrat's everyday life - say, work - and explain how it sucks on a fundamental, systemic level the likes of which Democrats don't even acknowledge.

What eventually turned me towards Marxism was the realization that workers have no voice and no say in their work, that democracy is non-existent in the part of life responsible for sustaining all the other parts. Everybody wishes they had a little bit more say in their lives, but the Democrats do nothing to touch that issue.
