This is the Litany of Resistance, created with the help of The Potter Street House's friends Jim Loney (CPT Reservist) and Brian Walsh (activist theologian).*

This cry and prayer is beautiful to me. I'd like to share it with you.
--------------------------

All: Have mercy on us
One: Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world

One: Long Live the Slaughtered Lamb
All: Long Live the Slaughtered Lamb

In Jesus for President, Shane Claiborne and Chris Haw make it clear that this is a litany ready to be shared and used in worship however you may choose. Share the prayer with your friends and write a prayer of your own.

Very well-meant and touching, but surely "do unto others" sums it up in one.

It does but I've always been fascinated with liturgy and this one really touched me.

In the Mormon faith, worship is very straight-forward and simple and I envy the liturgical poetry of the Catholics, etc.

If ever that poetry can be utilized, it should be done so with beauty and holiness.

I don't really know about Mormonism or what Mormons believe... but yeah... if it touches your soul and brings you nearer to your own truth then so be it.
