What classes have developed in today's world which didn't exist during Marx's time? Are there any common jobs today that have an ambiguous role?
What's the best way to inform someone that class and money don't always correlate?

None, there is actually less as the peasant and artisan class that existed in Marx's time has gone away yet Marx predicted them fading away.

How can modern day farm workers be classified? Are they proletarian?

There are two kind of farmers, family farmers are petit-bourgeoisie while farm hands are proletariat on either family farms or corporate farms.

Okay, but how about my last question? What's a really layman's sort of way to explain how marxist classes are classified?

They relate to how one relates to production.

The Proletariat (Worker) sells their labor to a owner of means of production

The Bourgeoisie (Capitalist) owns means of production and extracts surplus value through unpaid labor.

The petit-bourgeoisie are small capitalists that is exploited by larger capitalists even though the petit-bourgeoisie also exploits its labor.
