TRENTON (http://www.nj.com/politics) — State worker unions are protesting outside the Statehouse today in a last-ditch effort to derail legislation that would overhaul pension and health benefits for public workers. The Assembly was scheduled to vote (http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2011/06/nj_public_workers_to_stage_lar.html) on the bill earlier this afternoon, but the vote has been delayed. Gov. Chris Christie is expected to sign the bill shortly afterward.

It will probably pass but it was amazing to see all the workers fired up! It was also awesome to see cops reading socialist literature that comrades were handing out!

sold out to Christie by the democratic leadership in the state senate and the state assembly. that should open a few eyes and minds.

Hopefully this means that the unions will split from the democrats.

this about says it all in New Jersey. Governor Chris Christie aided by his invaluable quislings, Sheila Oliver New Jersey State Assembly Speaker and Stephen Sweeney ( a union official himself) New Jersey State Senate President take through legislation what they couldnt through negotiation. The democratic party and the ironworkers, a business union, betray workers yet once again.
