Cuba has stood forty years of it, I dont suppose this will make much difference.

It's the ultimate hypocrisy though when you think about "The Five"

USAs goverment is full of fucking idiots! and Bush is the most biggest of them!

Cuba shall be free ...yeah right, can't even handle his own countrys problems...besides Cuba is free...

Oh... that picture of Bush--the smirk! Such cockiness...

Cuba shall be free... to be a slave of the U.S.! We will bring "freedom" to Cuba by enslaving the island via neo-liberalism to the master of capitalism.

I hate that pandering filthy asshole. Bush is pissed because their little army of "dissidents" got found out before they could try to pull off a coup. Who's he kidding?

Strictly enforcing an existing US law forbidding Americans from travelling to Cuba for pleasure.

*emphasis added*

Does anyone else see the irony of wanting "freedom" for Cuba while denying a U$ citizens right to the "freedom" of travel?

Looks like it's time to start looking for citizenship somewhere else. I'll go where I want...when I want.

"More US radio, television, satellite and internet broadcasts to break the "information embargo" Mr Castro had imposed on his people."

Wow, looks like more "freedom" broadcasts. It's been a long time since we've heard anything on those!

Funny how the media strays away from the word, "propaganda" when describing exactly what it is the US will be doing. Openly inviting Cuban immigrants to America? When we cage mexican and asian immigrants for prolonged periods of time before shipping them back?

Oh damn, and the truth comes out!

Analysts say the votes from the 400,000 Cuban-American community in Florida - a key state - could be crucial in the 2004 presidential election.

Impressing the Batistas in time for election. What a bastard.

Yeah this is all about pleasing the greedy cuban expats in miami... cuz he pissed them off by sending back those 20 or so that hijacked a cuban boat and drove it to miami.. so now he's gonna make it up to them to get his hands on some votes.. not that it should matter, he didnt win florida last time and he's still the president ;)

btw. during his original campaign bush promised to lighten up trade embargo's on cuba

I sent an E-mail to the BBC about that report, my E-mail was as follows:

Subject: US tightens sanctions on Cuba

what you mean by: More US radio, television, satellite and internet broadcasts to break the "information embargo" Mr Castro had imposed on his people.

really is USA propaganda to the Cuban people.

George W(anker) Bush is a disgrace, him and the US are the biggest terrorists in the world.

Great Email, Robert! Touche'

I think Robert has a great idea. Lets ALL email BBC and let them know how we feel. If every member on this site wrote one email to them, how many 100's of emails would that be???

Let them know we ARE organized and will make a stand against Bush!

I'm about to collect my thoughts, email them, and post them later. I challenge everyone else to do the same!

Gr8 idea comrade Rob, i think we should all write in to the BBC, can you provide an email address, i have looked round the site and cant find one :(
I dont think theres as much point contacting CNN Iepilei, the bbc is far more powerful and respected and a lot keener to hear what the people think.
Failing to find a email address some one start a topic on the messege board about how crappy US is (keep posts clean so they'll get more respect). If anyone starts one, post the link up here so we can ALL post on it to gain some attention and actually do something active for our cause for once! vive la revolution!

may i ask why do you want to write them?

Back to the point, I can't believe that this assholes rule the world!

If they make the yankees not being able to go to Cuba, nobody there will see the reality, and Cuba will have financial problems because of lack of tourists. They will then try to make other countries do the same, so Cuba will be isolated, without a big economy inside and it will be doomed. Then Fidel will die, yanks will do one of this three things:
1) Invade because the "Communists are a menace to the freedom, democracy and American way of life" and get support from their asshole allies
2) "Convince" the Cuban people to accept their "democracy", and they will start talking like people like Vaclav Havel do nowadays, and there will be no oppositon to the U$.
3) Not do much and keep these policies until the regime is down.

It does not matter if you think Fidel and the rest of the government are good or if they are Communists or democratic, the truth is that anything yankees do will harm the island. When they have Cuba again, they will show by the CNN the first cuban Mcdonalds, a truck giving Coke and Budweiser as a gift the the Cuban people, "democracy", and new shops selling the newest TVs, and they will declare that Communism and Socialism is dead, that those are authoritarian systems where people "spend all the day waiting for a slice of bread in a queue with their 'comrades'" and that it is an unreachable utopia and that Anarchism is also chaos and utopia, and that the American way and the neo-liberal/fascist capitalism is the only possible way and that it "works".

I am really sad and i feel useless when i see this type of things. The machine seems unstoppable.

In what condition do yank$ take measures concerning another country?

MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE IMPERIALIST AND ECONOMICAL INTERESTS ON IT???

AAAHHH i hate that damn blockade!!!

i remember i was arguing with some stupid rightwinger kid and he said, "Castro Deserves to die since he wont let any american goods in his country!"
But this time i controlled my temper and didn't punch him....i tried to explain that kennedy i believe placed the embargo...or was it esienhower?

So i tried, there's a trick to america...."Educate, then liberate" i think thats what we should do/

it's often times hard to educate an idiot.

but I guess that's just part of the struggle, eh?

the one thing that usually makes them shut up about Cuba and the USSR...is when i just tell them to shut the fuck up, because they dont know shit about both of them....all they know is what their parents tell them, they dont watch the news, or read a book.
