So therefore to conclude my poorly thought through proto-argument, if you don't care for them you get crappier homes and crappy computers, to answer someone who obviously has concern with material things...

Imagine you are the only human being that ever existed, you would never even have developed a language let alone enjoy the kind of living standards you do now. Human beings rely on each other to further their existence, as a result the advancement of a collective attitude is extremely important to our development as humans. Therefore, we must correct or eliminate people who disagree, such as yourself since you are an enemy to humanity.

The answer is quite simple actually,
You see we are all at low points at times in our lives, we are all at times of crisis and despair.
In Capitalism, enless you have means or family connections you could destroy your world at a point of financial crisis.
Does anyone want to lose there house, family, life because of an economic crisis that you had nothing to do with? No.
Just there are only some people who can pin-point the source of this problem, and others that shrug this notion aside and continue their ignorant lives.
