So...lying and getting people into war is being a murderer (I agree here) and you will be so even if that happened during an earlier administration (well...still there...so I still agree).....

Actually...no...they succeeded...didn't they? Technically not your own population anymore. Also...the confederacy attacked fort Sumter. IF I remember correctly. So they initiated combat in this sequence of events.

But that has all very little to nothing to do with the fact that we are not talking about wether Licoln was a decent man or not...we are talking about Ghaddaffi who ordered rivers of blood on his own population and in years previous oversaw a dictatorship and brutal repression of the population.
