Glad the poor dog escaped. But it's news to me that "certain schools of thought within Judaism" believe in reincarnation.

I first saw this story on a fascist forum as evidence of Jews' evil ways.

There was a partly decent point made, however, that authoritarian and inhumane religious practices are highlighted by the mainstream media when they occur in countries ruled by enemies of the U.S. government, such as Iran (and almost always in Muslim countries), but not in the case of the country ruled by the greatest U.S. ally, Israel.

It's the other side of Israel, the Jewish religious extremists you never hear about, that are no different from Muslim extremists. If these people had their way Israel would be a lot like Iran, with the extreme sexism and homophobia. They want to create a rabbinical branch of government (I don't remember what it is called). They are also very very racist against Palestinians, so their treatment of Palestinians would be even worse than now.
