I've always wanted to create, or be involved in, a united multi-tendency Communist/revolutionary leftist organization located in North America. We have so many groups, so many communist, anarchist and socialist parties and organizations. So many diverse views. This group could serve to unite the groups such as the Socialist League, Freedom Socialist Party, CPUSA, SPUSA, YCLUSA, IWW, etc etc etc. But allows the groups to remain autonomous.
I was wondering. Could this type of organization start here? I mean, we already are that sort of organization, though we are located on the internet and our actions take place through these individual organizations.
I'm not spouting that we all agree, but that we all organize and work together. Is this plausible?

I helped create an organization for multi-tendency purposes. Youth for Revolutionary Socialism. I think it can be possible as long as the basis of the organization sticks to basic marxist theory. As long as everyone in the organization can agree among one another with the basics of marxism like dotp and so forth then I believe it can become a positive united force. I think that it could rid sectarianism also.
We have a group on here along with a link to the website if you want to check it out. We are international also but located in the US.

And this right here is exactly why a multi-tendency movement hasn't sprung up yet. If we could agree on what comprises basic Marxist theory, such a movement would already be alive and well today.

First, they all actually have to have an compelling interest in achieving the socialist revolution.
Second, they all have to agree on basic principled points of unity which actually are revolutionary.
Third...most of the Left doesn't fit the bill! The bourgeoisie today flies using both its' Left and Right wings. There are a lot of "progressives" and "radicals' out there who in actuality are nothing but middle-management, street policemen, and pimps for the bourgeoisie's overall interests. Ever heard of "political correctness"? Ask yourself, what class does THAT actually serve at the end of the day, remembering that Marx himself said "The ideas of the ruling class are in every epoch the ruling ideas, i.e. the class which is the ruling material force of society, is at the same time its ruling intellectual force."?

We don't necessarily need to agree, but just be unified. Organize together to promote revolution, and other communist principles.
No, the vanguard was something of Lenin, not Marx. As permanent revolution was something of Trotsky, and not Marx. That socialism in one country was something of Stalin, and not Marx.
We will always disagree with party structure, the dotp, whether or not to limit freedoms such as speech and assembly, how power is held, etc.
However, the goal is to come together for what we agree on. To protest Israel, to support unions, to support the workers, to spread Marxism, to debate and capitalists, to show up wherever needed together, though remain autonomous with our ideas.
