What the fuck is this? Their focus comes across as some one party, "holding a different view is not helpful", work together, corporatist, neo-liberal, you're all wrong! movement.
I've only just found this, and I fear that it will actually appeal to those who think Obama isn't already being a bi-partisan, or that the reason nothing is getting done is because the Dems and Repubs are polarized, when in fact they serve the interests of the ruling class.
Seriously. Does anyone have the low-down?

I'm expecting these guys to show up on the Daily Show one of these days. Jon Stewart is sure to love these clowns.

Arguing doesn't help guys. Lets all work together with the bourgeoisie and hold hands with them to improve the nation. Its what Jon Stewart wants us to do. Its not like we're getting shafted when we work. Lets just give up on healthcare, education, and worker's rights and just work. Public policy isn't important. Its not like it has any impact on our lives. Yeah!!!!

"We are Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are united in the belief that we do not have to give up our labels, merely put them aside to do what’s best for America."
Then why a group called "No Labels"? Hilarious.

Third positionism.

Third positionism.
Not even that. Third Positionism at least entails adopting a, well, a position; this is just wooly centrist hand-holding.

This article (http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/12/11/no-labels-political-group-aims-to-combat-hyper-partisanship/) goes into detail about this No Labels thing.
It seems like a precedent to the one-party system the political elite may be planning to replace the two-party system. The party wouldn't be called something as stupid as No Labels, but I actually think it's a real possibility.
If America does become a one-party system, a side effect may be stronger third parties. But the rationale behind a "unity party" is also preventing the growth of third parties, which is ironic, given the effect may be just the opposite.
The No Labels are founded by a Democrat. Not surprising at all. A few years ago I predicted the Democrats may try and re-model themselves as a "unity party" to solidify control and become the dominant party for years to come. It sounded absolutely insane to some people, but I still thought it was possible.

Outright centrist circle-jerking. I wouldn't be suprised if the people behind Unity08 are involved in this one.
I used to be one...of a sort anyway. Politics of compromise and such.

Well, what with the way the Republicans have (A) painted themselves into a demographic corner as the party of old white Christians, (B) alienated independents, and (C) raised expectations among their base such that only disillusionment can (once again) follow, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see the GOP wither away to an appreciable degree over the next generation while the Democrats turn into something akin to the ANC in South Africa or whatever the hell party Putin belongs to in Russia.
