I'm a Socialist. If I had my way immediately following our take-over I'd dispose of all the worthless self centred trash that litter up society and impede Socialism.
First to go would be the Anarchists because they are almost always totalitarian gobshites with a fragile grasp of either truth or reality.
Next would be the extreme communists, for the same reason.
Then the Fascists.
Much later I'd have a talk with the Cappies and see if they were prepared to be reasonable (quite a few probably would be).
Then I'd get on with actually doing something useful.

So let me get this straight, out of hardline Commies, Anarchists, Fascists and Cappies, you'd get rid of your allies first ? That's ridiculous.
I wouldn't liquidate ALL of ANY group.

NO mate I'm saying that Anarchists and Straight to Communism types are not my allies. Oh! they claim to be. But they are not.

So what are you?
The only people who would support your little revolution would be hard-liners, when the shit hits the fan they'll be the only ones there for you. So you'll betray your allies sc4r, or should I say STALIN!

And we all know what happened in Russia in '91 when only hardliners tried to stop the fall of the Soviet Union...

Do you know what Anarchism is? in the case that that was just a slip, have you been reading what unfortunately even most of my comrades here read about them? Anarchists are likely the most powerful allies you'll have if you are a libertarian socialist. hardline commies, now that's quite a wide statement. you'd get rid of people because of how passionate they are about communism?
and can you elaborate on what "get rid of" means?
but yeah, I can see we likely disagree again sc4r, but I enjoyed our last discussion, so I wanna get some clarifications first before I make judgements about this idea. :)

Yes I know what Anarchism is supposed to be.
There is nothing to discuss here. That post wasn't a reasoned analysis. Its an opinion, nothing more. It is based not a theoretical evaluation of the idea, but on observation of the actual people who claim to be Anarchists.
It's a sweeping generalisation too, of course.

Sc4r those truly pasionate about communisum would see socialism as a progressive step towards thier ultimate goal of communisum. They are your commrades. Socialism is merley a steping stone to communisum, you know that. What was your real intention behind this post? why the disregard for your aleged alies?
Anarchy in the mordern world

I am proud that sc4r would like to see me disappear. I, along with many other revolutionaries, must be doing something right to piss off this bourgeois socialist. :redstar2000:

Have you taken up smoking recently James? Lots of smoking emoticons.
Well really the only people who should 'go' in my opinion are fascists who would be sent to jail, nothing stupid like killing anarchists.
Really what benefit would it be to kill people who are allied with you against capitalism?

I would not necessarily imprison people because of their ideas, except fascists. What I would do is imprison those who were the biggest threats, those who had great influence or had followers and arms.
The rest of people who had counter-revolutionary ideas would live in the new socialist society and have to conform to its new ideas.

I reckon the responses pretty much back up my real point.
they are from people who dont seem even to have the capacity to discern, or explore, the reality behind an obviously dramatised statement.
Anarchists and 'Straight to communism' types are in love with their view of themselves as revolutionaries. The type of 'revolutionary' who does not actually have to risk anything more than some harsh words on the internet.
And if you dont agree to parrot the phrases they like parroting then you are [pick phrase for yourself].
They are in fact the obstacle within (or perhaps more appropriately the millstone around our necks); a far worse obstacle than any enemy without.

What exactly do you guys mean by 'fascist'? That word has so many different meanings to various people.

I thought you were a democratic socialist. I guess I was wrong.

so did I, I also thought he was alot more open to discussion and differences of opinion. Well, yes, I do nothing for the revolution but parrot and post on the net. You're absolutely right.
I'm sorry to say while I might have been an ally of yours in a different revolution, in this one I should be the first one to be shot.
Because I would take up arms against any such betrayal.
