Anyone on here attending the event (http://www.laanarchist.org/blog/2011/06/black-rose-anarchist-history-tour/)? I'm tempted even though I live in Albuquerque because this connects with my academic field of study and experiences in LA. Even radicals and progressives seem unaware of the rich anarchist history in the city.

There's also the Anarchist Bookfair (http://www.anarchistbookfair.com/) about a week later.

The tour went rather well. You can see pictures (http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.173861772672862.43904.100001471219352) on my Facebook page. Los Angeles has such a rich radical history that lies largely forgotten. I hope this event happens again as planned. Now I'm assisting with prep for the bookfair and skill share, where I'll be participating in a roundtable discussion on transhumanism and the radical left.
