The Founding of a Republic was good, especially as it wasn't mainly battle scenes but was also very much concerned with the deviousness of elite-level politics and the weakness of the KMT government. I've always heard of the new movie under the title The Founding of a Party, though maybe that was a working title (I can't read the Chinese script clearly enough on the trailer). I'm also looking forward to it, as 1911-1921 was a fascinating period in Chinese history and one with much contemporary resonance! 21 Demands, May 4th, etc. etc.

apparently "the founding of a party" is the chinese title but it will be internationally released under "beginning of the great revival" (which i think is an stupid move as it sounds way more like an propaganda flick that way)
