The canucks are a terrible team and they all have glass jaws (luckily the refs catching onto the diving). also, they keep trying to injure Tim Thomas because they're afraid of having an equal playing field and can only succeed if they cheat

Can the Canucks carry their home games into the literally rougher ice surface in Boston? We'll see.

From a few games ago, look at that hit!

What a warrior,I'm surprised he was able to make his next shift.

He must hang around with Subban in Montreal in the offseason.

Any team that let's Chara play for them after he PURPOSEFULLY pushes another players head into the oncoming glass and breaks his neck doesn't deserve to win shit. Chara is the scummiest of the scum and I would thoroughly enjoy seeing him get hit full on in the face by a speeding puck. Anyone who can still root for him after he tried to essentially kill another player is scum as well.

I regret not following this year's playoffs very closely but once all the 'free' streams got seized by the department of homeland security I lost interest.

Also, go Boston.

Savard says hello.

And what? Concussions and clean hits are a normal part of the game, pushing someones head and neck straight into an oncoming partition is NOT.

Horton wasn't paying attention to his surroundings obviously. There have been tons of really hard hits in the series, but NO ONE has done anything like what Chara did to a fucking rookie. That man doesn't deserve to play, and he sure as hell doesn't deserve to have the respect of anyone because he obviously values trophies and money more than another persons life.

Yep, clean hit.

Whole teams in the NHL make a business out of dirty play. But it's "part of their game" so the officials allow them too.

Sort of like certain teams and diving.

Where was the uproar when Hal Gill did essentially the same thing? Oh I forgot he is part of the royal team so he can't possibly have done something wrong. But since Chara is such a dirty player he probably gets fined and suspended all the time? Wait he doesn't? Must be a conspiracy against Montreal! Thats it!

I gotta admit that looked like a real dirty hit on Chara's part when nothing else was going on (even if it's not part of the Cup series), but my heart's still with my home team. Gotta like it when it goes to 7 games, and I do hope Boston brings it home.

I don't think it's correct to lambaste a whole team for the actions of one player; hockey's a brutal sport to begin with and its very nature unfortunately allows for such things to happen. Better to criticize hockey's potential for such things - and condemn players for pulling those kind of stunts - than trash teams for having players like that on them. First off, it's not the other Bruins players' fault that Chara's on the team; that was the decision of the owners and coaches and whatever passes for the draft pick in the NHL. Second, the reason people are Bruins fans isn't (I hope) the fact that Chara's playing on the team but rather that it's their home team. It's quite possible for a team fan to still dislike individual players, and it's wrong to assume all Bruins fans are brutes and knuckledragging thugs simply because they like the Bruins.

I like the Bruins. I want 'em to win. Chara's a jackass.

Canucks fan on diving: (http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=924190)

First off, I love the Canucks, more than almost anything. But I have to admit and agree with the overwhelming majority of the population that the diving display they're putting on is getting out of hand - and now the refs are clearly stiffing them with calls because they don't know if the Canuck dove or not. This is NOT to say that other teams don't dive...but this particular team has it in their head that it is an acceptable way to try to gain an advantage. Fine...but we are getting a disadvantage due to it, and this goes back to that Auger incident. The refs are tired of it and have done their homework, and I really hope that next year the Canucks take that element out of their game, because I do believe we have the best team in the league, diving or not. That is all.

Die Neue Zeit
15th June 2011, 04:07
Even if that's true, you do whatever it takes to win within the rules, regardless of the entertainment value or reputation. The best comparison with the real and perceived embellishment on the part of the Canucks is the use of the neutral zone trap defense.

Though I find it funny how people are treating this event as if it was formulated by "dangerous criminals and anarchists", as if this doesn't happen every time a Canadian team loses a finals game.

fuckin clowns. what a massive PR opportunity for Jim Chu and company. And anarchists in vancouver have done nothing to disassociate themselves with those rioters. We should be out there in force cleaning the city.
