Came across this site doing some research for a school project, and had to sign up. I'm an anarcho-communist, though I'm open to the use of the state as a catalyst for socialism. I live in Ottawa, Ontario (so close to the Neo-conservative idiots on Parliament Hill I can almost taste the corruption). My interests are music, mainly metal and jazz, current issues and politics. So, hello comrades, I hope to enjoy my time on Revleft.

Welcome!
I really appreciate the openmindedness of "I'm an anarcho-communist, although I'm open to the use of the state as a catalyst for socialism."
We will always need forms of "state," whether we're talking about a family, a community, or a bioregion. The question is: who controls the state and how is it organized and for what is it used?
The global organization all forms of community require is a "state."
The capitalist state is the enemy of all forms of life. It is a top-down tyranny that chops community into commodity.

The state is a tool to bring about stateless society. If that makes sense to you.
