I have come to a realization......................

High school kids tend to "package" themselves. They take on a brand. They join a crowd.

Why do adults do this on a large scale?

I.E-the very popular, trendy, "Patriotic" brand. It's a package deal. Every person I see with one aspect of the "brand" in their self identity has all the other parts, or acquires them. I mainly notice this as my sister is now going into this phase

1. Country music. It's a must. And not folk music or any of that. I'm talking reactionary "lets bomb em" stuff.
2. Flags. Lots of flags. Everywhere. Bunting. On cars. Everywhere. They love Merica more then you. They can prove it too.
3. Lots of yellow ribbons and other assorted paraphernalia. "You can't question this, people are dying for you to be free at this very moment." People in the service are generally just premium people. A better cut then the rest.
4. Jesus. It's kinda like the flag. They plaster it everywhere. Their walls, the internet.
5. Whining about the government. The only part of the government that operates flawlessly and without error and cannot be questioned is the pentagon. Everything else-----it's all waste, corruption yadada. Everything would be fine if we stopped giving our money to lazy blacks.
6. Family values. Goes along with 2, 3, 4, 5. They got em, you don't. Especially if you live in an urban area, then your just..........gosh you don't have a chance of raising your kids properly. They will like turn out hating Merica or being gay or something.
7. Cowboys. They ruined cowboys. Goes along with 1. Cowboys used to be working class often social outcasts, who were often minorities. I doubt they had flags hanging off their saddles.
8. Anything good only comes from Merica. Movies, music, TV, art, literature, language, cars, motorcycles, sports, anything.

Did I miss anything? Is the package complete? When I see the pattern emerge in someone I often turn around and head the other way. Knowing what is to come.

I only bought one and it was the crossman Pulse R76 AEG. Now this thing is fuckin great. It shoots nice and smooth and the body is full metal. I got it for $90 at my local wal-mart. Just took a nap. Here is what I dreamed:

I'm hanging out with the family, including my sisters and my nephew who live out of town. My Nephew is actually younger in the dream than what he actually is, about the age of when I went to visit last. So I'm playing with the nephew, but I'm also holding a lit cigarette, which is crazy. Then Tina Fey stopped by and I'm calling her a dumb liberal and making wisecracks and shit, but she's not paying attention because she's talking to my sister (the one with the kids). Suddenly, Tina Fey grabs my arm and sort of paints my nail black, and I'm all nonchalant about it, but it's not nail polish it's sort of a brown mud looking substance that smells sweet like vanilla, and she paints my whole finger, not just the nail. Anyway, the whole time I'm making some pretty good jokes, thinking, hey, I could be a comedian. Then the comedian Jim Norton (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Jim_Norton_%28comedian%29) for some reason shows up and drops an F-bomb, and I tell him that the kids are around, so don't drop F-bombs so loud (and also that his comedy style is too aggressive). Finally, we all decide to order a pizza, and I say I need a salad too, you know, for the fiber.

I don't think having a high drinking age actually stops people from drinking. It just means kids drink on the streets or in parks instead of being able to hang out in the pub, which doesn't make much sense to me.

Yeah I know, in the UK, but if she visited the US, she couldn't have until she turned 21. It's sort of a setback for Europeans when they can't freely go out and buy alcohol while in the US, when they're just 20, and have been able to in their native country.

I was drinking alone at a bar. The scene got lame and I decided to go to this bar where I know an old flame goes. Bad idea. So before I leave this bar to go to the other bar, I start to chat it up with a reasonably pretty lady. She tells me she's into philosophy. I say, Ayn Rand right? I was right. So it's kinda awkward cuz we both know we hate each other. SHe leaves, then I leave, kinda drunk, going to where the old flame hangs out. Well, I see the woman walking into the bar. So I says to myself, better not go there, she might think you're stalking her. So I walk around a while and I see a bar with two girls and a guy and practically noone else. I'm like, ok. I sit at the bar, and when the bartender comes up to me, I notice one of the girls is looking at me. So I says I'll have a beer and whatever these ladies would like. But like she couldn't hear what I said, and she says what? So I walk up to them and ask if they need a drink. She says no, luckily because I'm like really low on cash, but we start chatting it up, and when I leave I ask for her number and her friend is all like, she's very single etc etc, so good night, I'm happy. I went to the store, bought materials and poster-board for my sign, and spend too much time working on it.
