Been having a convo online with a mutual acquaintance and I just wanna reach through the computer and smack him. Even Captain obvious is powerless here....
Rand Paul is the new McCarthy, except instead of Red baiting its Muslim baiting.
Guy: I actually kind of agree with you on this *me*. He claims to be a libertarian and then says he thinks people who listen to speeches about the violent overthrow of the govt. should be arrested or deported. Of course I'm fine with additional scrutiny in airports for arabs. It just makes sense
Me: Wow that was a fairly racist comment. American citizens for have become terrorists for pete's sake! being Arabian has nothing to do with being a terrorist.
Guy: I'm not racist. How many non-Arabs have hijacked planes?
Me: Your just rationalizing. If you want to stop terrorist,s look for people doing suspicious things regardless of race, not because of race. All your suggesting is racial profiling.
