Now I'm new here but I was browsing the rules and see that racists and fascists get banned...
...yet I must ask, how is it fruitful to give the facists and racists and other miscreant types the cold shoulder when we should be attempting to give them knowledge? surely it runs counter to what we should be doing to win these types over...THESE ARE the proletariats we talk about winning over. many of them are xenophobes, racists, etc.
so why ban them when they should be convinced the wrongness of their ways? yes it feels good to say "fuck fascism" but just doing that for the "bad boy/girl" image does nothing in the long run to help the OUTERnationalist cause.

surely it runs counter to what we should be doing to win these types over...THESE ARE the proletariats we talk about winning over.I don't talk about 'winning over' proletarians through debate or argumentation (let alone on internet forums). You might. But then, I'm not really concerned with aiding the causes of neologisms either.

Racists aren't banned, they're restricted. Many of them are restricted for something minor and are unrestricted after a short time when they realise they're wrong. Fascists are banned because most of them are quite enlightened and clear about their ideology and because of the history of fascists attacking leftists IRL. For now, most of the world population is not fascist, although this ratio is changing for the worse.
The bigger problem here, actually, is restricting people for arbitrary reasons of alleged racism or sexism (such as saying a specific woman is ugly in your opinion, for example - as if that was sexist), or for just general BS reasons (think someone got restricted for saying that a sickness could be eradicated by putting the infected onto a desert island - despite clearly stating that he wouldn't support this). So yes, there is a problem - we're scaring away our believers, not the nonbelievers.

people who express racism, homophobia, and sexism (beyond being anti-choice) are banned because we see no reason why we should accommodate such hate and dont want to be confronted with it on an daily basis on this forum, non revolutionary leftists are an guest on this forum and should behave like it.
fascists are banned because A. we have an no platform policy and B. this site is owned by an german and allowing fascists on the board makes him liable for prosecution.
