Crabbies Alcoholic Ginger Beer. I stole it from my flatmate. Its absolutely delicious, honestly better than any other ginger beer ive and its 4%. To UK comrades, apparently its on sale at the moment.

Didn't even know there was Ginger Beer. Across the pond, I know a lot of people getting into Wheat Beer. I don't see what's so special about it...

We have a saying in Dutch...litterally translated it means: "Stolen wares bring nothing good". Seems you proved them wrong :-)


But yeah...that sounds absolutely delicious.

It makes an excellent mixer for drinks with bourbon, in my experience. For a weaker drink mix it with Black Beer (concentrated malt liquor) and a few generous splashes of Angostura Bitters.

Man, I thought I had it good with Reed's and Blenheim back in the States (admittedly NA ginger beer/ale) but one that gives you a buzz as well? Lucky bastards.

EDIT: Fuck me, it's available here in Sweden. Oh GOD YES.

DOUBLE EDIT: Apparently there are all of 2 bottles available in Stockholm County, out of a total of 6 or 7 nationwide. I must act fast.

TRIPLE EDIT: No, I can also order a case of 24 for about GBP 45. Oh yay.

Yeah its a bit pricey, but considering you spend a quid on a can of shit lager anyways. I think of it as a treat, with the added bonus that it contains alcohol.

I've done my time with hard spirits, thank you, and the only allowance I'll make for that these days is a couple fingers of Thomas Handy when I run across it. Otherwise it's good beer or a nice dry red wine for me.

I think it's a company name as opposed to a descriptive term for the Scots based on their normal temperament.
