THE best program I've heard so far to stop unemployment, right now the government holds up banks, holds up the automobile industry, it gives HUGE tax loopholes to oil companies (to where they are SUBSIDIZED), it gives almost 0% loans to banks, and so on.

why not, give low interest loans, subsidies, tax brakes and so on, to Cooperatives, even better why not give government grants, to unemployed people with ideas for cooperatives.

You know what you would see then? Unemployed people, in masse, finding solutions for problems, starting up democratic enterprises to fulfill those problems, and saving a lot of money from the state (who ultimatley has to take care of that stuff anyway), PLUS a drop in unemployment, a raise in productivity, consumption and ultimately the economy.

Its MUCH cheaper than straight stimulous, the government works programs, and definately a top down approach, plus you also have an influx of cooperatives which enlivens the economy and gives a different approach.

Right know I know some people who are calling for this, I know Bernie Sanders has supported this, as well as the Socialist party.

This is a solution people need to get behind, a real proposal, that is both feasable, revolutionary and will work.

Its not gonna be supported by most of politician beccause it would appear has something that will benefit people who use loophole to make money out of it, and you will see journalist coming out with those rare story where x group used the stimulus to finance a scam etc etc.

It would require someone with the balls the size of alaska to come up with that kind of project, you know, the kind of folks willing to wrestle with bear bare handed.
